Hello, my name is Dennis Vallianos. My family and I live on Long Island, NY. My interest in woodworking started in the mid 1950's in junior high with shop classes that were offered to all at that time. I began wood turning in the mid 1970's as part of an effort to create period furniture for our new house. Several years ago my interest in turning revived while looking at many fine examples of work by current turners - the craft certainly had changed. I find turning wood to be both relaxing and stimulating. It is an ideal outlet for creative energy. The end products are limitless and often of practical if not "artistic" value.
